GK After school club
safe, structured, and active
Parents need peace of mind knowing their kids are in good hands between the end of school and the end of the workday. Gyminny Kids After School Program provides a safe, clean, and supervised nut-free environment for school-age children ages 4 and up (including TK) to thrive after class. The after-school program incorporates Spanish language and Hispanic culture through movement, art, and creative learning, in line with our Heritage School accreditation. The program runs similarly to our regular camps, with all the same fun gym activities, while integrating bilingual learning during snack time, crafts, and select gym activities.

FAQ
Q: Can we pay less and drop in for a few hours instead of the whole time?
A: You may drop in for a few hours, but the price remains the same.
Q: Will this be like babysitting, or will there be structured activities?
A: Each activity will be structured and supervised. Even gym time will have a rotation schedule and will focus on structured activities. This program is not open free play while in the gym.
Q: Can you guarantee my child will complete their homework, and will you assist?
A: No, we will encourage the students to complete their homework during class time if that's what is communicated, but the teachers will not assist with homework or guarantee completion. That is up to the child.
Q: How will the children be grouped?
A: Roughly by age. At the start of the program, all participants will be in the same group until we have enough participants to split them into separate groups. The student-to-coach ratio will be up to 12:1, which is generally lower than the school ratios.
Q: Will you provide a snack?
A: No, but if the child forgets to bring a packed snack, we will provide one.
transportation alternatives
While we are not able to provide student pick-up or drop-off services, here are a few options that our families may use to make the program work:
Parent Carpools
We can help connect interested families who attend the same schools so they can organize ride-sharing. Many parents already coordinate this for activities, and it's a great way to build community.
School District Transportation
Some local school districts allow buses to drop children off at after-school programs or community centers. Parents can inquire with their child's school office about whether GK can be added as a drop-off location.
Independent Transportation Services
Families may use third-party child transportation services such as HopSkipDrive, Kango, Zum, or local licensed providers. These companies specialize in safe rides for kids with vetted drivers.
Nannies & Sitters
Some families use a part-time sitter to do the school pick-up and drop-off at GK. Once here, we handle the supervision and activities until parents finish their workday.
Flexible Family Drop-Off
Because we offer a flexible drop-off window from 2–7p, parents who finish work early or have staggered schedules can still make the program work without the pressure of a fixed arrival time.
