North County Gymnastics & Gyminny Kids Make History at State Championships
SAN DIEGO, CA – North County Gymnastics (NCG) and The Gyminny Kids delivered an unforgettable performance at this year’s men's and women's state gymnastics championships, which took place over several weekends in late March and early April, concluding on April 6th. With a staggering 314 athletes from the DP and Xcel teams participating, this year marked the largest and most successful showing in NCG history.
NCG athletes brought home an impressive 51 state gold medals—setting a new all-time record for the program in a single season.
Highlights from the State Meet:
4 athletes scored 9.9 or higher, showcasing elite-level execution and artistry
7 athletes earned spots on the prestigious Regional Team, qualifying to represent their region in upcoming competitions
For the first time in NCG history, the program proudly fielded girls' Level 9 and Level 10 athletes, reaching the highest competitive levels in youth gymnastics
What's Next:
NCG’s regional qualifiers will now prepare to compete on an even bigger stage, with regional meets taking place across San Diego, Ontario (CA), and Utah in the coming weeks.
This historic season is a testament to the dedication of NCG’s athletes, coaches, and families, as well as the strength and vision of the program’s continued growth.
